About

This is me, and that is us.

I’m a pastor’s wife, mom to seven (usually) wonderful children, writer, and part-time teacher. As far back as I can remember, there were three things I wanted to be: a mom, an olympic gymnast, and a writer. I figure achieving two out of three dreams isn’t too shabby. (Plus, I can still do handsprings in the backyard when I want to impress my kids.)

Above all else, I’m a child of the one true and living God, Who sustains me each day. My desire is to use this blog to share the many ways He is faithful, compassionate, merciful, and loving to each one of us. Lots of times I share the ways He covers me with His grace, that love I do not deserve. I fail. He forgives. He restores. It’s kind of a recurring theme in my life.

Most days I love what I do, but there are always times I wish I could just give up. On those days I remember the promise of Lamentations 3:22-23: “Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”
