Today I finished my first book. It won’t ever be published or sold. I wrote it for four very special readers as a Christmas gift. But the real gift is mine, wrapped up in all the things I learned about writing along the way. (And hopefully, in some happy faces on Christmas Day!)
And the best part is, I can’t imagine that snagging a best selling book contract could top the way I feel right now. I feel like a kid again. I can’t wait, can’t wait, can’t wait for Christmas Day!

Of course, if I *were* there, I’d probably be doing the happy dance too. And that’s not for the faint of heart.

Oh, Deb, I can’t wait to see the finished product! I’m thrilled to have been with you through the process. You’ve written a beautiful book and your kids will be blown away. I have to disagree with one thing, though…I believe you may see it on the shelf at Barnes and Noble one day. You’re a talented writer. This is just the beginning!
